As we all know, stress is an immense challenge for us today. A simple technique is to sit or lie down, and take three deep relaxing breaths and state to yourself, ‘I relax completely and totally now.’ Then gently tense, hold and release each muscle group, stating ‘I relax completely and totally now.’ Continue all the way through the body and repeat if necessary. Upon completion and when physically relaxed, create a physical anchor or cue, using your thumb and forefinger, affirming to yourself, ‘the next time I use my anchor, the mind and body relaxes completely and totally and all stress melts away.’ You can then use your anchor during the day, to help you relax and de-
