FREEING YOURSELF FROM EMOTIONAL WOUNDS

We all carry emotional baggage - wounds and scars carried from the past, deeply buried within. It is just the nature of growing up in our world. Yet it is our job to free ourselves from the burdens and weight of our emotional wounds. For they do us no good. They drag us down. They limit us. They continually cause us pain. They are truly not who we are. They are purely the result of a previously experienced event.

Emotional wounds are continually triggered by life's events - people, places and things. When triggered we re-experience the result of the original wound. We unconsciously react to the stimuli and begin to feel the pain once again. From today's perspective the pain may seem to have little resemblance to the original cause, and yet this is far from the truth.

The original pain is a thought form comprising the root cause of the suffering. This suffering is caused by an event. The event caused the creation of an emotional charge. The emotional charge then became enmeshed around a belief about our self and life. The belief is often a misperception or untruth. It arose in our early years, or from another time and place. The thought form then became embodied in the mind, body, spiritual system. Each time we re-experience our emotional wounds, and negate or suppress them, the thought form is fed like a hungry bear. It expands and enlarges, continually growing throughout our life.

As long as the original cause exists we tend to give it power, enabling the thought form to grow and become larger. It becomes more and more problematic with each passing year. We even come to believe that this is the truth about our self. We claim this is who we are. Yet this is not the case at all. The original cause is long over with. Yet we experience it over and over again, as though it’s happening right now. This is why it feels so much like the truth – yet it's simply not.

Fortunately their are powerful tools, techniques and practices that can help free us. They allow for the truth to be revealed, the emotional charge to dissipate and the belief to be re-framed. This causes the emotional triggers in life to loose their power. In fact little by little they have less and less effect. The triggers may well continue to arise, yet they no longer cause painful reaction.
